Modernizing a Luxury Hospitality Experience
The Challenge
Garza Blanca Resort Cancun required a complete redesign of its digital experience to better communicate the luxury value of the brand and improve lead generation through its website. The existing platform lacked modern visual storytelling, consistent UI structure, and scalable components for marketing teams.
The challenge was to redesign the entire website in just two months while ensuring the experience remained elegant, responsive, and optimized for conversion. The new design needed to reflect the premium hospitality experience of the resort—featuring oceanfront suites, gourmet dining, spa experiences, and curated activities—while making it easier for visitors to explore and book their stay.
Designing for Conversion and Storytelling
The Strategy
The redesign strategy focused on combining luxury storytelling with conversion-driven UX patterns.
I introduced a modular layout structure based on reusable content blocks, allowing the marketing team to assemble pages dynamically while maintaining visual consistency across the site.
The approach emphasized:
Strong visual hierarchy to highlight the resort’s premium experiences
Clear booking pathways to reduce friction in the reservation journey
Modular UI blocks compatible with Storyblok CMS
Responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile
This strategy ensured the website could evolve with marketing campaigns while maintaining a consistent brand experience.

The Build
The entire platform was designed using a scalable component system built to integrate with a modern development stack.
Responsive Design
More than 200 screens were designed across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints to ensure a seamless experience across devices.
Component-Based System
The interface included 50+ UI components and 150+ variations, allowing developers to build consistent layouts using Tailwind-compatible components.
Over 15 modular UI blocks were created—including hero sections, image galleries, carousels, cards, and content grids—each with multiple design variations to allow flexible page composition within Storyblok CMS.
UX Writing & Storytelling
Website content was refined to better communicate the resort’s value proposition and guide users through a narrative journey—from discovering the resort to booking their stay.

The final result was a fully redesigned digital platform that elevated the Garza Blanca brand while improving usability and scalability.
By introducing a component-based architecture and responsive system, the design not only modernized the resort’s online presence but also empowered the marketing team to create new pages and campaigns without requiring constant design intervention.
